MSIG presents SecurvigIA at TRANSFIERE

On Thursday 16 February 2023, Victor Bañuls, Professor of Information Systems at the UPO and Managing Partner of MSIG, spoke at TRANSFIERE, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation held in Malaga.

And he did so to explain a successful case of Technology Transfer: that it is the seed of SECURVIGIA, the first information system in the world capable of managing emergency plans in business parks.

On the one hand, there was a challenge that required a solution. The city council of Alcalá de Guadaira was aiming to transform its productive spaces into smart business parks and one of the essential areas to be addressed was, without a doubt, smart emergency management.

On the other hand, there was an important innovation developed by the research group led by Professor Bañuls, which has become an international reference in the scientific community. The result is the algorithm implemented in the SecurvigIA software, which is based on the CIA-ISM cross-impact methodology, allowing real-time analysis of hundreds of interrelated risk event variables from cameras, sensors or open data.

A second important innovation is the possibility to apply SecirvigIA as a comprehensive security solution in large dispersed areas such as a business or industrial park by creating a Collaborative Emergency Plan.

SecurvigIA is an international market innovation, as to date there has been no comprehensive and automated solution for the implementation of Collaborative Emergency Management in Business Parks.

In this way, and once it is up and running, the business parks of Alcalá de Guadaira will be at the forefront as they will gain in coordination and efficiency with this software that will allow:

  • Continuously monitor, simulate and evaluate interrelated multi-risk scenarios in real time.
  • Implement a Collaborative Emergency Plan that includes shared information on hazards and resources.
  • Real-time Scenario View with GIS technology.
  • To support notifications, warnings and alerts to companies, as well as to all key players in emergency management and security in Business Parks, among other functions.
